Repot of our last meeting:
A very sombre group of 30 members met on Wednesday 12th May. As the Chairman, Rob Tremain, was unable to attend , our President, Mrs Mary Williams stood in for him and after a silent tribute to Joan Rendell, our Society's secretary, who died , so tragically, in a fire at her home onTuesday May4th, Mrs Williams read out a letter from Rob listing all the condolences he had received both from individuals and from societies.

Our speaker was Gerald Fry who stood in at 24hours notice for Ms Patricia Wright who was indisposed. Mr Fry presented an illustrated talk on ther Bude Canal.
