ANNUAL
ST PIRAN’S FEAST 2008 - PONSMERE
HOTEL, PERRANPORTH SUNDAY
9TH MARCH 7PM
for 7.30pm.........PRICE.......£14 The
traditional Feast Dinner this year will take place on Sunday 9th March
following on from the annual pilgrimage across the dunes to St Pirans
Oratory....The usual entertainment will be drawn from the talent in
our midst...So DO bring your harp to our party, we are bound to ask
you to play!... The 2008’ Piranner’festivities will this year, span a long, feast fortnight [see details below, or on the internet [ www.an-daras.com ], & in ‘Cornish World ’magazine]. If all this is TOO much, just try a relaxing week-end at The Ponsmere , with its splendid acres of beach just below..[This will be almost the last occasion that The Ponsmere can welcome you, as after the 2008 Lowender Perran finishes in October, the demolition team will move in.. & this fantastic asset to Perranporth will become a pile of rubble ,....awaiting its fate.......another victim of progress? You may wonder why we have abandoned The Great Western ,& Newquay .Well, its more the other way round. ‘Progress’ requires the gutting & total refurbishment of that poor ‘Old Lady ‘ of Newquay.......So with the retirement of our good friend John Fitter, Aug ‘08......[who was.Manager there for so many years, creating a truly Cornish Welcome to all comers ,but an especially warm one for us ...over the past 30years..] ...I had the shock of trying to find an alternative venue ,with just over 6 months to spare....so I trust you will enjoy our new ‘Home’ Hence our move to Perranporth, & where more fitting a place to go to celebrate The Feast of St Piran.?...but sadly ,just for this one year... Dinner guests are invited
to stay overnight , or extend their stay over the week-end if so
desired, at the special tariff of £25 per person /per
night..[.B&B]................ Book
